Lfgdex leverage
Oraichain Labs announced up to 1001x leverage for LFG!!! perpetual trading in September 2025. The figure describes a maximum exposure-to-margin ratio; it doesn't establish a currently available setting or a liquidation threshold.
- Announced ceiling
- Up to 1001x for LFG!!! perpetual contracts in Oraichain Labs' September 30, 2025 announcement.
- Stated liquidity support
- Deep liquidity pools, according to that announcement; it gives no pool balances or market-specific capacity figures.
What does the multiplier measure?
Notional exposure measures the value of a trading position, while initial margin is the capital that supports opening it. The simplified relationship is
leverage = notional exposure / initial margin
.
With exposure fixed, more initial margin lowers that ratio without changing the price-driven profit or loss. Keeping margin fixed while increasing exposure raises both the ratio and the monetary effect of a price move.
Example: A small price fall at 1001x
For a hypothetical linear long position at 1001x, a 0.03% price fall produces a gross loss equal to 30.03% of initial margin.
Use hypothetical initial margin of 43 USD, with USD serving solely as a valuation unit. Applying LFG!!!'s announced ceiling as a hypothetical position ratio gives
notional exposure = initial margin * leverage
:
43 * 1001
produces 43,043 USD of exposure.
The hypothetical price fall is 0.03%, or 0.0003 in decimal form. Using
gross loss = initial notional exposure * price fall
, the loss is 12.9129 USD. Dividing that loss by the 43 USD initial margin gives 30.03%.
Doubling the hypothetical initial margin to 86 USD, with exposure unchanged, leaves the same 12.9129 USD gross loss. The loss then represents 15.015% of initial margin, and the exposure-to-margin ratio falls to 500.5x.
This calculation assumes the position stays open throughout the move and excludes fees and funding transfers. It doesn't model a particular LFG!!! market, collateral asset, or liquidation rule.
Why can't 1001x determine the liquidation price?
Initial margin concerns opening a position; maintenance margin is the equity requirement for keeping a position open. A real liquidation calculation also needs the applicable contract valuation and collateral rules.
The September 2025 announcement doesn't supply those LFG!!! parameters or a market-specific liquidation formula. The worked loss therefore illustrates price sensitivity without predicting a real position's liquidation price.
How do liquidity and trading fees fit?
Oraichain Labs' September 30, 2025 announcement linked the leverage offering to deep liquidity pools. It also described reduced trading fees for $LFG holders, without a numerical fee schedule.
Pool liquidity concerns trading resources, while a fee discount changes transaction costs. Neither changes the gross price-driven loss from a fixed linear exposure.
